Version 1.1.3 Update: Offline Logging Fix + PWA Guide
We just released version 1.1.3. This update fixes offline operations, so you can keep logging in the PWA even without a connection, and everything will sync automatically when the network is back.
This post also explains what a PWA is and how to install the TrackMy.Baby PWA on iPhone and Android.
What’s new in 1.1.3: Offline logging + automatic sync
Some users reported that logging could fail in unstable networks. Version 1.1.3 resolves this:
- Log while offline: feeding, sleep, diaper changes, and more are saved locally.
- Auto-sync on reconnect: once the network is back, offline records are uploaded automatically.
- No extra steps: no manual export or re-entry needed.
What is a PWA?
PWA (Progressive Web App) is a web app that behaves more like a native app.
Key benefits:
- No app store download: open it in the browser and use it immediately.
- Add to home screen: launch it like a normal app icon.
- Offline capability: keeps working for essential tasks without a connection.
- Cross‑platform: works on iPhone, Android, tablets, and desktops.
TrackMy.Baby is a PWA, so you can use it directly in your browser or “install” it to your home screen for a more app-like experience.
Install the PWA on iPhone (Safari)
On iPhone, PWA installation requires Safari.
Steps:
- Open in Safari: https://app.trackmy.baby
- After signing in, tap the Share button (square with an up arrow)
- Choose “Add to Home Screen”
- Confirm the name and tap “Add”
You’ll now see the TrackMy.Baby icon on your home screen—tap it to open the app like a native one.
Install the PWA on Android (Chrome)
Android often shows an install prompt automatically, but you can do it manually too:
- Open in Chrome: https://app.trackmy.baby
- Tap the â‹® menu in the top right
- Select “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”
- Confirm to create the icon on your home screen
After that, you can launch it from the home screen and use offline logging with automatic sync.
FAQ
Q: Can I use it without installing the PWA?
A: Yes. You can use it directly in the browser, but installing it provides a faster, more app-like experience and better offline access.
Q: Will offline logs be lost?
A: No. In 1.1.3, offline records are saved locally and synced automatically once the network is back.
Q: Is multi-device sync delayed?
A: When online, it syncs in real time. If you’re offline, it syncs after reconnection.
If you run into any issues, please let us know. We’ll keep improving the experience—thanks for your support.
